Mansion Weave

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Mansion Weave design is an engineered parquet made from the assembling of 284 mm x 190 mm polygons and 284 mm x 67 mm trapezoids. In other words, our engineered wood parquets are basically polygonal and trapezoidal tiles that are placed together in a sophisticated and complex fashion.

Mansion Weave

The mansion weave dates back to the 17th Century France, where it originated as a weave pattern used in palaces and grand homes (i.e. mansions), and it also resembles the traditional weave pattern used in textile production.

Often, a Mansion Weave is chosen only for a prominent area in the home to give it a luxurious feel, and boards of the same colour for the rest of the house.

As the grain runs in three different directions, it is arguably a more sophisticated pattern than herringbone and chevron.

This weaving process requires precision and attention to detail, as each board needs to be carefully aligned and secured to achieve the desired pattern. The result is a visually stunning floor that adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space.
